>== Change boot device order ==

How did you get the different boot devices tested? When I tried to set my USB cdrom as first boot device, none of the commands given in the right panel of the BIOS boot device prompt shows any effect. So hwo to change the boot device order? --Cliffhanger 16:15, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

Not sure I understand your question correctly — the first item in the list of boot devices is tried first. If there's no medium accessible (e.g. USB thumb drive if "USB HDD" is your first entry), the second item will be tried etc. etc. --Uwe Hermann 17:57, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
My problem was, that I could not bring up the devices that stand in the list behind the built-in ssd. So booting from USB-cdrom for example was not possible because in the default setting it boots from ssd before it tries USB-cdrom. But with the hints (Fn + blue +/-) given below I can change the order and it works. --Cliffhanger 05:30, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
use Fn blue+ to change boot order - the regular +key does not work.
The BIOS setup utility does not use the German keyboard layout. That means the + key is labeled ` and the - key is labeled ß.
Thanks, that was the hint I needed. --Cliffhanger 05:30, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
